Volunteer with the Mass Dems and get out the vote next Tuesday

Calling all Democrats!

Tuesday is Election Day and we need to get Democrats across the Commonwealth to the polls!

The Massachusetts Democratic Party, in conjunction with Obama for America, is organizing volunteers like you to hit the streets to collect signatures for Democratic candidates and talk to your neighbors about voting on Tuesday, March 6.

Can you spare some time this weekend to lay the foundation for victory in November?

We will be talking about what President Obama has done to restore economic security for the middle class and why he deserves another term to continue his good work. Our efforts will help lay the foundation for the extensive grassroots organization we’ll need to win in 2012.

So much is at stake in 2012. Between re-electing President Obama, defeating Scott Brown, protecting our Congressional delegation and supporting our representatives in the State House, we’ve got our work cut out for us. And that’s why we need your help!

We have canvasses set up in every region of the state, giving you a number of opportunities to speak with your neighbors about what’s at stake in this election.

VOTE – Yes, we all need to Vote on March 6

The Obama campaign team in Massachusetts is working hard to get ready for our Presidential primary on Tuesday, March 6th. Known around the country as Super Tuesday, the primary is a big day here in the Bay State, and over the weekend, volunteers hosted more than 70 events to reach out to voters across the state.

From a phone bank at Harvard University, to door-to-door canvasses in Springfield, Worcester, and Lowell, Massachusetts volunteers had one-on-one conversations in their community to remind people to vote in the primary and invite them to join in upcoming volunteer activities.

Host Committee for First Lady Event – meeting on Friday

Our first host committee meeting will take place this coming Friday, February 3, 2012  from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Law Offices of Foley Hoag, 155 Seaport Blvd, Boston, MA, Room 13A
The New England Steering Committee will hold it’s meeting from 8:30-9:30 that same morning,  also at Foley – Room 13M -
we encourage those who can make it to attend both meetings.

CALL NIGHT
We will be holding a call night Wednesday, January 25th at the Massachusetts Democratic Party Office located at 77 Summer Street, 10th Floor, Boston, MA 02111 to help spread the word and sell tickets for our upcoming Chefs for Obama event. Please sign up for a shift (5-6 p.m., 6-7 p.m., 7-8 p.m.) by emailing Ryan Fleury at Rfleury@barackobama.com.
