· Mitt Romney has endorsed Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock, who said last night that he opposes abortion even in the case of rape because a pregnancy from rape is “something God intended to happen.”

· Romney is Mourdock’s most prominent booster and the star of his latest campaign ad. Will Romney request that the ad – featuring him speaking directly to camera on Mourdock’s behalf – be taken off the air? If he doesn’t, he’s endorsing Mourdock’s outrageous and demeaning comments.
- Romney’s endorsement isn’t surprising. He would take away a woman’s right to choose and even said he’d be “delighted” to sign a bill banning all abortions. He picked Paul Ryan, who supports banning all abortions and even cosponsored legislation to narrow the definition of rape.
